Another great week for Benivo. We won an award, got nominated for another 5 awards, and most importantly — received an exceptional gesture from a client employee that warmed our hearts.

Benivo is releasing a number of exciting updates this fall, detailed here. They include rolling out Live Chat, Employer Portals, upgrading client platforms to Rental Hub and beginning work on native apps for iOS and Android.

There are certain undeniable trends impacting talent populations inside global organisations. One important trend is that hiring is increasingly less local. It is less bound by geographic constraints and considerations. Young talent can and want to launch and develop their professional careers nationally and internationally. 

All new beginnings are hard - especially when moving is involved. One of the many challenges it entails is that you have to make many decisions which are all very important: where to live, how the first day at work will look like, how to commute, what budget to expect, how to settle in.

An interesting article posted on Personnel Today by Punter Southall Health & Protection highlights why preventing expatriate assignment failure should be a very high priority. Expat assignments cost an average of £217,000 per year and fail 40% of the time due to difficulties adjusting. Employers have a large, meaningful upside if they can reduce the failure rate.
