Benivo conducted a benchmark study to examine the design and administration of U.S. domestic and U.S. outbound home sale assistance programs. The research was conducted through direct interviews with mobility leaders from 14 companies between January and April 2025. Participants spanned a variety of industries and included representatives from both large-scale and mid-sized mobility programs.
This study explored four common types of home sale assistance offerings:
1. Guaranteed Buyout (GBO)
2. Buyer Value Option (BVO)
3. Independent Sale/Direct Reimbursement
4. Marketing Assistance
It also included a focused set of questions on the potential impacts of the recent National Association of Realtors (NAR) lawsuit settlement.
